May 21, 2026Appliance repair is an industry that most people don't think about. It's similar to HVAC without the 24 hr work day and there's not that much competition. And the competition you do have isn't very good. I had no experience in this industry and Mr Appliance helped me, starting at age 50, build one of the largest franchises in North America in less than 10 years. We not only made good money during franchise ownership, at 9 1/2 years we sold the business and retired. It wasn't perfect and there were bumps in the road but the results were very good.
